Yesterday I celebrated my birthday with a small dinner party with my parents. Soon we'll have a do over with Inge and Joop, who couldn't make it. Which is great, that way I'll have two parties.
The starter was home made Italian tomato soup with red paprika's and basil. Some ciabatta with pesto and mozzerella on the side.
The maincourse was pasta with a spinage sauce, containing cream cheese, walnuts and bacon.
We didn't have a desert. But I did make a pineaple pie with pistachio nuts and almond cookies, very sweet and tasty. Though I busted my nail opening all those nuts.
